  1. we loved our stay at Barcoos ,would highly recommend it ,perfect for children under the age of ten, we stayed in the Wardell house, had a chance to live in a pioneer type of home, veranda around ,windows with great views of the farm and animals, the weekend was great value for money, it included accommodation as well all activities not expensive at all, other places you would have to pay for horse riding, .tractor ride etc. separately and can be costly ,Elaine and Ken were great and made us welcome we are still talking about our stay and the experience we had, it was a perfect weekend for us, would do it again thanks Michele ,David, Kelly ,Michael and the kids

  2. Ken and Elaine, wow! Thank you from my entire family. Way exceeded our expectations and made such a memorable family weekend. Such a hands on farm experience for all the kids and all the big kids, from bottle feeding your lambs, to riding the Shetlands, to feeding the cows, horses and chickens. You gave us all a farm experience we will never forget. the farmhouse was perfect for our family of 13 and we so enjoyed the campfires and daily routine of farm life. Thanks again for letting us share this amazing experience.

  3. Thank you Elaine & Ken for all you did to make our stay a wonderful family weekend celebrating Ian’s 70th Birthday. So much to do – the hay ride over the property to feed the animals, horse riding, feeding the orphaned lambs, feeding the chickens and ducks and collecting the eggs, the performing pig, riding in the BIG TRACTOR…..and more. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back. It was a special time with our children and grandchildren.

  4. Dear Elaine and Ken. Many thanks for a wonderful 3 days of true farm experience. It’s hard to pinpoint a single highlight with the girls still talking about all of the activities they were involved in. Feeding the lambs, watching Georgie the pig doing her tricks, pony rides, feeding and collecting eggs from the chickens, playing ball with the dogs Ruby and Carly, tractor rides and bonfires with toasted marshmallows to name a few. Needless to say the girls were asleep within 15 minutes of leaving and slept most of the way back to Sydney. A great way to finish a family holiday round trip to Dubbo Taronga Zoo.
    Take care and Best Regards
Sean, Natalie, Bella, Hannah and Lucy

  5. Thanks Elaine and Ken for another memorable stay. The girls in particular loved the led horse rides and feeding the lambs and Sienna is now talking about having her own farm one day. We will be back again next year.

    Thanks again,

    Gina, Stu, Alana and Sienna

  6. We always love our stay at Barcoos Barn, even though all our chicks have flown the nest and we now have two fur babies. Ron and I appreciate all the sharing you do with your lovely farm, and we enjoy going around and seeing all the animals, thank you Elaine and Ken, you are remarkable people. We will definitely be returning.

  7. Thank you Cindy and Steve. So glad you all enjoyed yourselves. We look forward to your return visit.

  8. Elaine & Ken, thanks for making our Easter long-weekend such a wonderful experience. There was plenty of chocolate fuelled children to keep you busy, and you both showed great patience and organisational skills to ensure that all the families had a memorable time. Our daughters loved the horse rides and baby lambs. Ken’s shearing demonstration, tractor rides and farm tour were also a hit. Our little girls now want to live on a farm. I think we will have to come back to Barcoos for another visit soon.

    Many thanks,
    Steve, Cindy, Victoria & Stephanie

  9. It was great fun and very different to have 2 adults with no kiddies here to take part in all the activities we have on offer. Thank you for taking part. Elaine & Ken.

  10. Thanks to Elaine & Ken for a marvellous stay. The wide range of activities made it so special, including rides on a horse, tractor, trailer filled with hay and a cart pulled by Shetland Ponies. Feeding the animals was fun, as was collecting chook and duck eggs to have for breakfast, together with the great fresh-baked, home-made bread delivered to our door each morning.
